The Micro 540 is intended to be a development class, the yachts are small and are easily transported fully rigged, the sail template is quite restricted so whilst some gains in performance may be made in this area the majority will hopefully be in good hull design.
Depicted below are four designs to get you started, all four are made in balsa and are easy to make depending upon your level of skill in this regard.
The class has no restrictions as to the materials used and so other areas of construction which maybe explored would be Carbon or Glass Fibre Moulding, Vacuum Forming, or any other material used such as plasticard, depron, correx etc
